Proudly Serving Thunder Bay Since 1968 Our Story

Thomas Reid founded Tom Reid’s Furniture in a tiny store on Simpson Street back in 1968. After a few relocations and countless expansions, Reid’s has grown to be the largest locally-owned furniture store in north western Ontario.

In 1995, Tom retired turning the business over to his sons. At that time, the boys also joined a dealer-owned furniture franchise system. The affiliation allows smaller independent retailers to pool their resources in an effort to meet and exceed the buying power of the big box competitors.

Reid’s has enjoyed consistent growth thanks to a loyal customer base and an experienced team of dedicated employees. Our sales team has a combined total of experience in the business of well over a hundred years!
